Who We Are

The Milton High School Scholarship Fund is a trusted home for community giving. We connect donors with students and help manage scholarships with care and transparency.

Our role is to:

Serve as a landing place for community scholarships

Facilitate the student application process

Oversee fund management and distribution

Ensure donations are handled responsibly

We support students pursuing all forms of post secondary education and training, including four year colleges, technical schools, trade programs, and certification pathways.

Every path forward matters.

A Community Effort

This fund exists because of the Milton community.

Local families, alumni, businesses, civic groups, and friends of Milton High School believe in investing in the next generation. Their generosity sends a powerful message to students. You matter. Your goals matter. Your community believes in you.

Since 1976, more than 1.5 million dollars has been awarded to an estimated 500 to 600 students. That impact continues to grow each year.

Some past recipients have gone on to give back themselves. That full circle spirit is part of what makes Milton special.

How We Are Governed

The Milton High School Scholarship Fund is led by a 100 percent volunteer board of directors.

The board provides oversight and ensures that funds are managed with integrity and transparency. We are responsible for stewardship of donations and for maintaining clear processes.

Scholarship sponsors establish their own eligibility requirements and, in most cases, select their recipients. Our role is to facilitate the process and ensure that it is handled thoughtfully and responsibly.

We are committed to trust, accountability, and fairness in all that we do.

Growing for the Future

Over the years, the fund has expanded to support both long standing and new scholarships. A major reorganization in the early 2010s, and again around 2022, strengthened governance and allowed us to accept additional scholarship funds from the community.

We are especially focused on growing the Rising Red Hawks Scholarship. This community funded scholarship is open to all graduating seniors and supports students who may not otherwise receive an award. Our goal is to build this fund so it can continue supporting Milton students for generations to come.

The Milton High School Scholarship Fund exists to support graduating seniors as they pursue post secondary education and training.

Founded in 1976, we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to one simple promise. One hundred percent of donated funds go directly back to Milton High School students.
