Allen Foundation College Scholarship

Experience

The Allen Foundation Scholarship is the longest running continuous scholarship at Milton High School. It was established in 1976 by Marion and Harris Allen.

The Allens were longtime Milton residents who believed deeply in education and community service. Harris established the first telephone company in Southern Wisconsin after moving to Milton in 1953. Marion devoted her life to philanthropy. Beginning at age ten by rolling bandages during World War One, she went on to support dozens of community organizations throughout Rock County. One of her most visible contributions was the donation of the Gathering Place for senior citizens.

Both graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and valued the power of learning. Through the Allen Foundation, they have contributed more than 1 million dollars to Milton graduates over the past four decades.

Their legacy of generosity continues to inspire our community.

Edelston Family Foundation Scholarship

The Edelston Family Foundation Scholarship was established by members of the Edelston family, several of whom are lifelong educators in Southern Wisconsin.

This scholarship reflects their shared belief in the power of education and hard work. It is both merit based and need based. The award recognizes students who demonstrate academic promise, perseverance, and financial need.

Through this scholarship, the Edelston family honors the values of opportunity, community, and dedication to learning.

Milton Masonic Lodge College Scholarship

The Milton Masonic Lodge Scholarship is awarded each year to two deserving seniors planning to attend college as full time students.

Milton Masonic Lodge Technical School Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded annually to one senior planning to attend a technical or trade school as a full time or part time student.

Pat McCann Memorial Scholarship

Pat McCann graduated from Milton High School in 2004. He was active in sports and school activities and brought energy and joy to those around him.

After high school, Pat pursued a career in the medical field, earning degrees in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and nursing. He loved his work as a nurse and had a special gift for helping those in need.

The Pat McCann Memorial Scholarship honors his compassion and dedication to serving others. It supports students who plan to pursue careers focused on helping people.

Lori Schrank Memorial Scholarship

Lori Schrank lived with enthusiasm, compassion, and a love for the outdoors. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and educator.

Lori had a deep passion for nature and animals. She volunteered for many summers rehabilitating baby raccoons for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. She also loved fishing trips and time spent outdoors.

Her greatest passion was teaching. As an elementary educator, she had a special gift for reaching every student. Her classroom was creative, joyful, and welcoming to all.

This scholarship supports students who share her passion for animals, the outdoors, and education.

Paul Edward Campion Scholarship

The Paul Edward Campion Scholarship was created by Tom Campion, a 1979 Milton graduate, in honor of his parents, Ed and Helen Campion.

This scholarship reflects Tom’s gratitude to the Milton community, to Harris G. Allen who supported him through a meaningful scholarship in 1979, and to his parents who encouraged all seven Campion children to pursue college despite limited financial means.

The Campion family hopes this scholarship helps students meet financial needs and inspires them to give back to Milton in the future.

Rising Red Hawks Scholarship

Each year, Milton High School graduates hundreds of students, each standing on the threshold of endless possibilities. Their journeys remind us of the importance of nurturing talent and supporting one another as they step into their futures. To help make these futures brighter, the Milton High School Scholarship Fund was established to support community-donated scholarships.

The Rising Red Hawks Scholarship is a community-driven initiative created to assist Milton High School graduates as they pursue their post-secondary education. Thanks to the generosity of our community, every donation—no matter the size—directly benefits MHS students. 100% of all contributions are allocated to the scholarship fund, providing invaluable opportunities for growth and success.

We are grateful to the generous donors who have supported the Rising Red Hawks Scholarship, including:

In 2008, Syl and Linda Groeschl established the Bill Schrank Choralation Scholarship in his honor. Over eighteen years, they awarded more than 9,000 dollars to deserving students. Today, Bill continues the scholarship to support students involved in the choral program.
